I was worried about the idea of struggling to install the antenna outdoors as I'm not very good at DIY tasks, but I thought I'd try just putting the outdoor antenna in the window instead. Although it probably doesn't work as well as it would if I'd installed it outdoors, it works well enough close to the indoor antenna, which is all I needed, and minimum hassle.
We did find that the signal was improved to a reasonable amount. We can go from a 3G to a low LTE.
My son has just moved out into his own apartment and I never seemed to be able to get hold of him. I thought he was avoiding me, but it turned out that he just wasn't getting my calls because of his bad mobile signal! I ordered this booster for him and it seems to have resolved the problem. Now I can nag him whenever I want!
Recommended for boosting 3G. Unfortunately we don´t get 4G signal in our area but the unit booster 3G pretty well
